☆ Old Country Spaghetti Trio & Hot Rockabilly Sauce ☆
The sparkling adventure of “Fancy Hoppers” began in the hot summer of 2009 when two good friends decided to come together and form a band. Fabio Capecchi a redneck with a strong attitude for the chicken picking guitar style and a firefighter Simone Pierallini who love slapping his double bass, started their first Rock and Roll project named “The Pets Peeve”. The band was completed few days later with Niccolò M. (singer and rhythm guitar) and Diego D. (drum) and together they played their first gig on 29 of September ’09.
Since 2010 they played shows up and down the country; their attitude and dedication has cemented them as a must-see independent band in Tuscany (Italy) and that’s the reason why in 2011 they score 100 gigs, few local Radio interview and an increasing
request of major events.
The year of 2012 is marked by the leaving of the drummer which gave the band the chance of playing “drum-less” in a true traditional Rockabilly attitude. This new trio inspired Fabio and Simone who decided to start composing their own music and lyrics.
The 8th March 2013 the first self product album “The Pets Peeve” went out on the web and cd, marking the beginning of a new great experience for the band who received several good review by the most important Rockabilly fanzine around the globe.
In June the singer and guitarist Niccolò Carli stepped in replacing the old singer and together they started the new project called
“Fancy Hoppers”.
In 2014 the renewed and refresh Rockabilly/Old Country Swing Trio played live in many clubs increasing their synergy and setting a new acoustic mood to their night live. Social media followers are a testament to the ability to communicate their sound with their ever-expanding fan base, something that is very important to the band with worldwide fans popping in daily
to leave comments on the band page.
The 31st of May 2015 another self product album called Fancy Hoppers came out receiving thousand of very positive feedback coming from all over the world. Once more, they take the chance to improve their experience in music composition and with this new 11 tracks they put down the foundations of our future sound based on the American traditional music.
From the year of 2016 to the year 2019 we are dedicated ourself entirely to the live scene, also collaborating with other musicians and modifying the line-up according to the needs of events.
During the forced break imposed by Covid-19, we recharged our energies, worked on new ideas and set new goals just to face 2021 with the right motivation.
Nowadays we’re working to our next album and a new EP will be out soon…
Stay tuned for more information and visit the ‘Live’ page to find out when we are playing at venue near you…
